San Antonio ranks the 17th largest city in the United States in terms of industrial jobs, according to Manufacturers’ News Inc.

The Evanston, Ill.-based company produced a list of the top 50 U.S. cities by the number of manufacturing jobs at year-end 2010. The Alamo City registered 52,039 industrial positions to give it the No. 17 spot.

Houston ranked first in the nation with 228,226 jobs.
