SAEDF has prioritized continuous improvement – building the best-in-class economic development organization that greater San Antonio deserves.

Through this lens, our organization continues to evolve. In the last two years, SAEDF gained a workforce development function in SA Works and integrated the former Free Trade Alliance, aligning all of San Antonio’s international trade and export development efforts under one entity.

In recent months, SAEDF has implemented additional organizational changes to better serve its investors and the San Antonio community. SAEDF’s administration function now incorporates the full suite of support service and investor experience, from investor relations and finance, to community engagement. The administrative services team, led by Carmen Lara, will help SAEDF continue to run efficiently and ensure its investors more seamlessly engage with the organization.

A core function of the organization is business intelligence and marketing. Led by Erica Hurtak, the Marketing & Strategy team will bring together these units to best equip its sales teams to market the city for continued growth and business investment. In addition, The region’s collaborative strategic planning process, facilitated by Market Street Services, will be managed by this team.
