Investor Spotlight: Coldwell Banker

The magical quality so characteristic of the greater San Antonio area has repeatedly turned tourists into longtime residents. Here, visitors and locals stroll along the world-famous River Walk, enjoy both global cuisine and local grub, float down the Guadalupe River on a lazy summer day, and attend a variety of sporting events. Our first-rate museums, art galleries, theaters, and zoo add to the richness of our culture, and with three theme parks, local caves, shopping, and the nearby Texas Hill Country vineyards, there is always something new to experience.

Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper, REALTORS® is passionate about bringing the joy of our region to homeowners and to changing the lives of others—more than 190,000 clients since 1986—through real estate partnerships, hard work, and philanthropy. Much like the city and region it calls home, the company has a history rich with culture and diversity. As the largest locally-owned real estate company in San Antonio and the surrounding Hill Country area, it has been a market leader since its founding more than 30 years ago. With a legendary history of innovation and leadership, the company was the first Coldwell Banker franchisee in the United States to be awarded a stand-alone Global Luxury office, and company President Leesa Harper Rispoli was named Broker of the Year for 2018. The company continues to play a vital role in the development of the region as a participating team in the revitalization of Kelly Air Force Base through the Greater Kelly Development Corporation. This initiative attracted companies such as Boeing and Standard Arrow to our city, which then led to further development by various industry players such as Toyota and Halliburton.

The brokerage supports diverse causes and charities year-round, including organizations such as Roy Maas Youth Alternatives, Habitat for Humanity, and The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center. It is also an ardent supporter of Any Baby Can, guiding families from crisis to care, and Communities in Schools San Antonio, which provides resources to at-risk children in our city. In 2018, the company donated $25,000 to this organization. In 2016, the company launched the Dr. Herbert E. Harper, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund for agents, employees, and their family members. Aligned with the company's founding beliefs—a tradition of trust and family—the scholarship awards up to $25,000 to recipients attending a community college, technical or vocational school, four-year college, or university in the United States. Further, each of the company’s nine offices is active in their respective communities around the region; other organizations throughout the greater San Antonio area benefitting from the company’s time, support, and resources include Hill Country Daily Bread, Hays-Caldwell Women’s Center, and Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

The company’s highly-recognized Relocation Department has received more than 100 awards for various levels of recognition while consistently delivering service and performance ratings of “Excellent.” As Rispoli states, “We respectfully honor our heritage while embracing the present. Even more exciting, we are planning for the future with great anticipation of the possibilities that await. We’ve been a part of San Antonio’s evolution to a first-class city and look forward to what lies ahead. We live here, and we work here. We are San Antonio.”
