  Boeing Contract Adds 400 Jobs to San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS July 2007  Boeing's contract to build 11-  787 Dreamliner jets will create 400 jobs in San Antonio.  The jets will be built in Everett, Washington and sent to San Antonio to install electronic and mechanical equipment and to test functional systems.

Boeing's presence in San Antonio, since 1998, has been in the former Kelly Air Force Base now known as Port San Antonio.   Boeing occupies 1.4 million square feet of space at Port San Antonio and currently employs 1,500 in San Antonio.
