  Homeland Security Visits San Antonio for NBAF

SAN ANTONIO, TX

San Antonio holds three of the 17 proposed sites for the $500 million National Bio- and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF). The NBAF facility will serve as a federal center for research into bio-terrorism and battling diseases through homeland defense research, development, testing, and evaluation conducted by the Department of Homeland Security, Agriculture, and Health and Human Services. Several San Antonio institutions prepare for the Department of Homeland Security's visit beginning on Monday, May 7.
