CGI Opens Center of Excellence in San Antonio

CGI PRESS RELEASE

San Antonio, Texas, March 20, 2007 - CGI Group Inc., (CGI), a leader in information technology (IT) and business process services announced today the opening of a new center of excellence in San Antonio.

This new center joins CGI's U.S. Service Desk Operations.  It is a single point of contact for CGI's clients to call for service requests as well as computer hardware and software related questions and issues.  CGI anticipates growing this new center, located in the North Point Atrium, to over 100 professionals within the next several months.

"San Antonio is experiencing tremendous growth in the IT industry, and CGI's expansion into the Alamo city is another example of worldwide businesses recognizing the benefits of operating from our location," said John T. Montford, Chairman of the Board of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation and Senior Vice-President for legislative and regulatory affairs at AT&T.  "We are always looking for ways to attract high quality employment opportunities in San Antonio and are pleased to welcome one of the largest independent IT services companies in the world."

The addition of San Antonio is an important next step in CGI's evolution of its global delivery capabilities to support the growing demands of its worldwide clients.  Currently, CGI employs dedicated professionals servicing clients around the world in its Centers of Excellence in Canada, the United States, Western Europe and India.

"We are extremely pleased with the evolution of our Global Delivery Model and are excited that its success has led to the creation of a CGI center in San Antonio," said Donna Morea, President of CGI's U.S. Operations and India.  "The growth of our presence in Texas reflects our goal to offer our clients with the best value proposition that strikes the right balance between strong local presence and global delivery options."

CGI selected San Antonio after a rigorous and extensive selection process among various potential locations around the US.  The decision to select San Antonio was based on many factors including the available pool of skilled IT professionals, the possibility of partnerships with local universities, the proximity to existing clients and the presence of global leading businesses in San Antonio.  In addition, the business-friendly local and state governments that are committed to growth were major factors in CGI's decision.

"We firmly believe that the combination of San Antonio's existing skilled labor force and CGI's technological know-how will create an environment in which CGI and the state of Texas can win and grow together." said Nazzic Turner, Senior Vice-President, US South, CGI.  "We have been present in the State of Texas for over twenty years and the experience has been positive all around.  The creation of a center in San Antonio reaffirms our commitment to Texas."

The San Antonio center will complement the other established CGI delivery centers in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and Austin.
