Illinois-based customer service firm expanding to San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO (June 26, 2006) — Afni, Inc., a leading provider of customer interaction solutions, has selected San Antonio for the site of a new call center facility that will employ more than 400 people. Officials at Afni, Inc. and the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation announced today the 32,000 square-foot facility will service companies with a variety of communication and insurance services and is planned to open in September 2006.

The 70-year-old company, headquartered in Bloomington, IL, provides services in 11 locations across six U.S. cities, employing more than 4,200 people. The company is well-respected for its involvement in the community. Some of the non-profit organizations Afni currently supports include Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Habitat for Humanity, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the United Way of America. “We studied locations throughout the country, looking for the most feasible location for our new call center facility,” states Michael Garner, Afni Vice President of Call Center Services. “The quality of employees that we seek to hire at Afni is readily found in the San Antonio community. Also, the tremendous cooperation we have received from local officials makes this an excellent choice for Afni to continue its strategic growth.”

The company will invest approximately $2 million in the building’s infrastructure, and will locate near the intersection of SW Loop 410 and TX-151 at 1560 Cable Ranch Rd. John Vogel of Henry S. Miller Commercial was the broker representing the local site. “Afni is a company that is committed to quality and dedicated to service and community. We are honored to join the San Antonio business community,” stated Bruce F. Griffin, Afni Chairman and CEO. “Afni’s decision to expand in San Antonio continues the trend of outstanding telecommunications related companies locating in our community,” said Mario Hernandez, President of the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation. “Afni has proven to be a premier employer, and we are excited to welcome them to our community.”
