  2004 A Very Successful Year

On March 14th, EDF reviewed the 2004 successes to more than 100 members and guests gathered at the Omni Hotel. In 2004, 27 companies were located by EDF, bringing more than 3,000 jobs into the local economy. In addition, EDF hosted almost 90 site visits from prospective companies, and had a list of 101 active prospects end of year 2004.

One of the biggest developments in 2004 was the location of 18 on-site suppliers at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas, Inc. plant in San Antonio. The supplier park is the largest at any North American automotive manufacturing site. Suppliers will range from industry giants, like Johnson Controls and Lear, to regional manufacturers, such as Reyes Automotive

San Antonio additionally landed a diverse group of manufacturers, back-office operations and warehouse and distribution companies. The list of companies located in 2004 includes:
