Competitive Access

Thanks to the Surface Transportation Board approval of the Union Pacific / Southern Pacific (UP / SP) merger, San Antonio has the ability to offer competitive rail services to all parts of the U.S., various border crossing points into Mexico, and access to deep water ports. BNSF and UP have reciprocal switching agreements on certain tracks within the city limits. For more information on BNSF, visit www.bnsf.com and for more information on UP, visit www.up.com.
